MAY 2008 Meeting is on MOTHER'S DAY

• The Sunday May 11, 2008 meeting will be held (at 7pm) at the University of Findlay (Ohio).

• We meet in the ENDLY ROOM in the Student Union Building which is on the corner of Frazer and Cory. Park in the Library Parking lot.

• Bring your treasures that you found at Mansfield!

THE MANSFIELD BOTTLE SHOW IS ALMOST HERE!

• Don't miss the MANSFIELD BOTTLE SHOW !! This has nothing to do with the monthly flea market, but is a once-a-year major bottle collecting event put on by the OHIO BOTTLE CLUB. Highly recommended: going on Friday, during dealer set up. It costs more for early-bird admission, but is so worth it. Aside from the first peek at the goodies, you'll get to visit with fellow collectors, and enjoy the free dinner.

The Findlay Antique Bottle Club was founded in 1976 by 5 passionate bottle collectors from the area. We presently have members from all over Northwestern Ohio and neighboring states. New members are always welcome! Members receive the club's monthly newsletter, WHITTLE MARKS, with interesting articles and info.

"MEETING and MEMBERSHIP INFO" Club meetings are held the 2nd Sunday of each month at the University of Findlay. The best part of attending the meetings is getting to see the great "Show-n-Tell" treasures! We'd love to see you!

Attention: Fruit Jar Collectors ~ 2 New Books!!

The Redbooks are here... The Redbooks are here... at long last! Last month, at the Muncie jar show, Doug Leybourne put his long-anticipated Redbook #10, into the waiting arms of fruit jar collectors. Now you can buy the book on his NEW WEBSITE .

What is Red Book No. 10, you ask?

Well, it is a 456 page collector's guide to old fruit jars, and includes over 10,000 prices for jars and closures as well as descriptions and essential information, and you've just gotta get it!

But Wait, There's More...

There's another equally great new fruit jar guide book that just came out at the Muncie Show, also. It is Jerry McCann's latest 2008 FRUIT JAR ANNUAL - THE GUIDE TO COLLECTING FRUIT JARS.

This spiral bound book is 223 pages of current prices. It includes comments on important jars sold privately and at auction in 2007. There's also articles by Tom Caniff and Barry Bernas, and a listing of jar collectors by State.

He doesn't have a website for it, but Randy Taylor sells it on ebay. Or you can get it directly from Jerry, for $35.00.
